Student Accommodations

Student Accommodations, Hostel & Private Landlord Renting

Student accommodation, hostels and private landlord renting

Student accommodations have become a very important subject with International students from various parts of the world. Finding the right accommodation nearer to your chosen university or institution of higher learning can become a daunting task, especially if you are not born and bred in the country.

Uni Admissions helps in arranging and securing very high-quality accommodation for students coming to the UK for studies for the first time. Perhaps, you are one and in need of a flat, studio, or shared accommodation, we are happy to intervene with a suitable property that meets each person’s aspirations or expectations.

If you have opted for our university admission fast-tracking services, searching and finding suitable accommodation for your personal needs becomes part of the contract. Whereas you are not, fast-tracking accommodation will still be provided but on an advisory basis only. We may point you in the right direction but won’t engage directly with the accommodation provider.

However, if you are coming from a country where there is war, poor human rights, we may be able to provide you with our fast-track accommodation services without a fee. You will need to tell us your individual situation if need be or where it applies.

During our research phase, we identified that student safety is of prime importance to the students as well as their families. For an organisation to be able to provide safe accommodation for international students, calls for collaboration between schools, national organisations, and inhabitants to be proactive with matters relating to safety. The UK remains one of the safest places on earth to study because of robust policing and human rights laws. The integration of international students into communities of national students is a very important factor when promoting safety and it is one thing we are good at doing. You can rely on Uni Admissions for your Student accommodation needs if you are an international student coming from another country. We are here to help at no cost whatsoever to you and your family.

We can place international students in shared accommodations with other international students or students born and bred in the UK. The decision on where to live as an international student is all yours but Uni Admissions is ready to assist whenever you need such assistance.

In the past years, Uni Admissions has successfully placed hundreds of students in suitable properties based on each person’s needs, location, finances, and aspirations. Over the years, we have forged and created a network of local university accommodations and providers and this approach has proven to be very successful, allowing us to find suitable UK student accommodation for our international students coming to the UK to study with ease.

Types of Student Accommodation available in the UK Markets

There are officially 3 types of student accommodation services in the UK markets and namely;

  1. Private renting – About 95% of International students rent from private landlords during their 2nd year of studies. Renting privately is your choice and we expect you to know that it comes with extra costs to your rent like council tax, TV licensing, water, electricity, and gas. You are expected to settle all the bills on a monthly or quarterly basis, and you are also responsible for cleaning and the cleanliness of such accommodation.
  2. The Hall of residence – Hall of residence is usually a university-style accommodation for international students and comes with a one-year guarantee from the university concerned for first-year students. The benefits of renting through “Hall of residence” includes the fact that all bills are inclusive. You may have to share other facilities such as the toilets, kitchens, fridges, but you are given a personal space (room) that you can lock when going out if need be.
  3. Private halls of residence – Private halls of residences are more or less the same as “Halls of residence” and the only significant difference is in the form of costs. They are far more expensive than the Halls of residence provided by each University. However, because of the high costs involved, these private “Halls of residence” are usually of a very high standard and quality.
